Julie Thibodeaux of ACLU Louisiana will be training legal observers.
Anyone who is interested may come, you do not need to be a law student or a lawyer!
Legal
Observers observe and record the actions of the police and opponents of
the protesters. Their presence helps ensure that the rights of the
protesters are not violated while holding the police accountable for
their actions.
This training will prepare you for future events such as the School of the America's Vigil/Protest in November and Mardi Gras Indians gatherings and upcoming Occupy NOLA events!
Skills credit will be available for Loyola Law students.
